The Contractor. How I Landed in a Pakistani Prison and Ignited a Diplomatic Crisis
Book Review - Dallas: Ben Bella Books, 2017. pp. 211
Abstract
The book is an autobiographic account of Raymond Davis. A US contractor, who shares unpleasant memories of his stay in Pakitsan. The Raymond Davis affair evokes rather unpleasant memories in Pakistan, as well as for the Americans. Raymond Davis was involved in an incident in Lahore in which he killed two Pakistanis. From his identity to his work, or ‘assignment’ to his trial and the ‘deal,’ the whole episode was mired in controversy. In this book, we get Davis’ version of the whole affair, narrated with Storms Reback.
