Abstract
The question of peace and stability by resolving territorial disputes between India and Pakistan always remained a gravitational point of South Asian politics. An upset regional security environment of nuclearized subcontinent in the presence of inflexible national standings of both Islamabad and New Delhi let the international players to enhance their roles in South Asia persistently. In other words, the presence of extra-regional powers for resolving the India-Pakistan protracted conflict in the South Asian region cannot be prevented easily. A number of authors remained busy in studying the territorial conflicts between India and Pakistan by adopting various lenses of conflict resolution. A recent study of US-based Pakistani author, Moeed Yusuf, tried to examine the role of Washington in solving the main problems related to Islamabad-New Delhi hostility. Dr Yusuf is associate vice president of the Asia Center working under the US Institute of Peace. He is a widely published author who always attempts to investigate the different strategic issues of world politics academically.
